Designed for the DST Group headquarters in Braga by the renowned artist Vhils, this installation was developed and produced in collaboration with Marvilab and Lindo Serviço (Lisbon). The project employs a distinctive visual identity and technology previously used by the artist in partnership with these same companies.
The piece was specifically designed to be installed on the façade of the DST Group offices, making it visible both from the outside and inside when illuminated. Spanning nearly 10 meters in width and 4 meters in height, it stands out even from long distances.

To seamlessly integrate with the building’s façade, a custom-folded aluminum structure was developed, ensuring both aesthetic refinement within the office space and the necessary structural support for the light tubes. Due to its scale, the installation was designed as a modular system, divided into six window-like segments.
For the image composition, each tube contains a precisely cut vinyl layer, with each section contributing to the overall image. This allows the silhouette of the face to emerge through the interplay of light and shadow when illuminated. Inside each tube, a controllable LED strip enables dynamic lighting effects, making it possible to create various animations and customized lighting sequences.
This project exemplifies the fusion of industrial design, technology, and artistic expression, creating a striking and immersive visual experience.
